 Hi Amy,
We wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying Roxy.We have had her almost two weeks now and can't get over how well she is adapting . She adores our three young children almost as much as they adore her. We were so impressed with the way you kept us updated on the pregnancy, delivery , and growth of the puppies. Your continuous contacts helped us to really feel like we were there. Once we finally got to meet the puppy we were so pleased to see how healthy and well cared for she was. You have done such a great job with these dogs and we feel so lucky to have one of the Little Country Labradoodles. Thank you so much !

Hi Amy

Madge and I just love our pups. It was so great seeing the pictures you took of all the pups as the weeks had gone by. You really took care of them while they were being arranged to find there new homes. It has been 1 week since we have them and they are so smart. They have attached themselves to us and seem to be ajusting to their new home. We look forward to spending our lives with our new addition to our family. Thank you so much.

Hi Amy

Just wanted to let you know that we have had Max for 3 weeks now and he is doing GREAT! He has such an energetic personality yet he is very intelligent and obediant. He just learned how to use the dog door and the potty training is coming along very nicely. Everyone that sees him says he has the cutest face they've ever seen. Even the nurse at the vet! He is going to be a great family dog.

Thanks.

Hi,
Things are going well, we love our pup Cider.

Chris & Marcella
Meriden, Connecticut

Hi Amy
Dave is now 16 weeks and 35 lbs! He's a bundle of
energy, and our bundle of joy! He's been potty trained
for the past 3 weeks and has learned to ring a bell,
which we hang on the door, to alert us that he needs
to go potty. He's a smart one we think.
We took him hiking in Tahoe last week and I think he
thought he was in dog-heaven. He even took his first
swim in Donner Lake! He also got stung by a bee for
the first time this past Monday(after trying to eat
it). His lip swelled up quite a bit, but he didn't
seem to be bothered at all. Still wanted to play and
eat treats. He got a shot of benadryl at the vet ER
and was fine a few hours later. What a trooper!
Mark and I get SO many compliments about how cute he
is! We think so too!
 We love him

Thanks.

Hi Amy

I've had Higbee and my brother has had Kramer for a
little over two months now and we are so happy with
these dogs!  They are smart, fun, excellent athletes
and they don't shed.  After my dog Ripper died, I
didn't think I would fall in love with another dog,
but I have and it's great.  You should also know (as
should your clients) that my vet was very impressed
with your choice of vaccinations, the timing on their
shots and their overall care.  He said he had seen
some not-so-healthy labradoodles from midwest breeders
and was happy to see such well-bred and well-cared for
dogs.

You're the best .  Thanks.   Love to you and your family.

Lucy
HI Amy
Snickers is an incredible dog and very loved member
of our household.  Sorry - no pics yet but when I get one, will send to you.
He's now about 50 lbs and size of medium lab.  He's adorable with his
scraggly hair.  He's also very sweet and loving just like you said.  And he
still has his smile/laughing face that sold me on him.  He's extremely smart
- he learned the command ;Go pee within one day and quickly figured out how
to open the back door so he could come in when he wants and the fetch and
retrieve.   He also learned to fetch the morning newspaper after watching my
lab/retriever 3 times.  He's managed to eat two hearing aids and one pair of
glasses but is relatively calm for a 6 month old!  He loves his walks and
river time.  He is so comical with his poodle hops and bounces - I
should've named him Tigger!

Thanks again for breeding such a wonderful soul!

So sorry that it has been so long! I know I told you I would send a picture of Gabriel (Gabe) to you. So here it is! These were taken at Christmas. Gabe is getting so big. He is doing really well and loves being with the kids!  He is really healthy and that we are grateful for. Thanks again for giving us such a wonderful dog! I will send pictures again soon!

Hello !
If ever anyone needs a professional opinion on your dogs temperment or intelligence, please feel free to have them call me.  I've had my dog training company for 12 years now, so I've seen ALOT of dogs.  Chance really is the perfect dog for this lifestyle.  This morning alone he socialized (and eventually taught her to play) a very timid 4 month old shepherd/lab mix, calmed a huge older rott mix, and played with a mini dachschund.  He adjusts his style, roughness, approach, etc. to the size, age, strength and confidence of my clients. truly think these dogs are the best overall tempermented dogs for families I've encountered. easy to train, great with kids and other pets.  None of the over the top behavior of the labs, just their loving natures.  The intelligence of the poodle.  And Chance DOES NOT SHED!
And he's an awesome trailriding dog, too.
Thank you for your generosity, and please know that he's one happy dog.
Take care, and keep breeding.  I know it can be a burnout, but in this state so many people breed poorly, and for the sole reason of financial gain, it's wonderful there are still some REAL breeders that haven't gotten out of it due to their peers.
Thanks,
Gina and Chance

Hi!

I finally got a picture of Snickers to send you.  It was taken when he
graduated from dog training.  He is the smartest dog and we love him very
much.  He only had to be shown his training 1-2 times and he got it right
away.  The dog trainer said she's only had 3-4 dogs her career like this.
Even though he's only 8 months, he's really calm.  But I've had to get him a
bunch of intelligent toys to challenge him and keep him from getting into
mischief.  He's taught himself to open the back door to let himself into the
house.  Once he even turned on the outside faucet, played in the mud then
let himself in the house all muddy & proud of what he had done!  His best
friend is my step-daughters pug & it's quite comical to watch them play.  He
also learned how to give a High Five I hoping to teach him more tricks
and take him to some agility classes.

Thanks again for such a wonderful dog!

Sue from Durango, Colorado

Hi Amy
We absolutely LOVE Sadie.  She is so funny and cute.  I will send you pictures as soon as I can.  We have added another puppy to our family since we got Sadie last year.  She was so attached to our old Golden Retriever that we thought Sadie needed to have someone closer to her own age to grow old with.  He is a 10 week old chocolate lab named Woodyand the two of them are a riot together!  Woody is giving Sadie a lot of payback, but she is so good with him.  Very gentle and playful.  We take her to the dog park on Friday nights and she goes nuts.  She loves it there with all of her pals.  She is a very friendly dog.  Loves to play with all the dogs.  We always get comments where ever we go with her.  She really is such a sweet dog and she has definitely found a permanent home in all of our hearts.  Thank you so much for a great dog.

Hi Amy,
Maya is getting so big, she now weights 41 lbs.  We love her so much.
We have just started letting her sleep in Justins room at night. She
really likes that. Her hair is long , mostly straight with some wave.
Maya is one of the smartest dogs I've ever met.  I swear she knows what
I'm saying other than what we've taught her. She loves to play fetch and
she does bring the ball or frisbe back.  She is a blast to watch play
in the yard.  She carries her rope with a big ball on it and sprints the
entire yard back and forth.  When the sprinklers come on she tries to
bite or drink the water right at the sprinkler and she goes from
sprinkler to sprinkler. She will do that untill they shut off. She can now run
faster than the rabbit. Yesterday she threw Lilo up in the air with her
nose untill her hinde legs came off the groung twice. I didn't see it Dave did.  I was so happy to hear that she just wanted to play and didn't want to hurt her. But, Lilo doesn't know that. I have taken lots of pictures of her just not on digital.  I will send you some whenI do.How is your new baby?  Does your son like having a little brother?  I
bet he is getting big.  Hop all is well with your family and thanks for bringing Maya into our lives. She is the best.

Leo is a F1 Labradoodle

Hi Amy,

Leo is so, so, so great.  He’s been such a great addition to our family.  very healthy, very smart, very loyal and loving.  He’s very well known around here, from the vet to the kids at the park and school to the trainers at Petsmart (he was a star pupil) to all our neighbors – they all adore him.  I think he thinks he’s just one of the kids.  He really loves running next to my husband on bike rides and has a way of telling him when it’s time for a ride. My son calls Leo his best friend and my 6 year old daughter cuddles up with him on the couch to watch tv.  I’ve never seen a better dog around kids.  He’s still very much a puppy and excitable, but once he knows you, he loves you.

Thanks for checking in.

Hi Amy,

Snickers is WONDERFUL. .  Almost every day I take him for a
walk off leash) in state forest by river.  He's amazingly agile, jumping up
& down rocks, hills etc.  He loves the water but won't swim in it.  The
dog trainer said he was one of the smartest dogs she's every seen.
Thanks again for such a wonderful member of our family.  I'll take a
picture
for you later.

Here's a new photo of your San Diego branch of the family. They are
at our house this afternoon for a romp. We try to get them together 2
or 3 times a week and they really seem to enjoy it. They run and
chase each other and sometimes sound like they're really mad, but
then they get over it. Phoebe is on the right in the photo. She
currently outweighs Roxy by a little over three pounds. She's growing
so fast its amazing. Frank was away for two weeks and was staggered
by how much bigger she is and what she can do. She is housebroken to
a special place in our yard. She will come and sit when I ask her to.
She's a genius! She is also very sweet when she slows down enough to
be cuddled.

Thanks again for a great new addition to our family!

Vicky

Just a quick note to see how you and your little guys are doing? The
attached photo is a glamour shot of Phoebe at 6 1/2 months, after a
bath and brush-out. She's a great pup! We took her out to breakfast
to a cafe that allows dogs on their patio last Sunday. Phoebe behaved
herself really well and got to meet a bunch of new little buddies
because people with small children kept coming out to meet her.
I love her! Some of our neighbors have a little boy who is barely
1 year old and their family dog actively avoids him. Phoebe gently
licks his face and hands, but is really gentle with him. For her
to be that restrained with little people at only 6 months of age shows
one exceptional personality and temperment!
Cheers, Vicky P.

Hi Amy
I really enjoyed the pictures of the new litter.  I thought you might enjoy seeing a picture of Latte.  Here he is sharing Lilly’s bed.  As you can see, they’re getting along great.

Dear Amy,
we have the privilege of working with a dog trainer who trains service dogs to help us train Latte.  Our trainer just adores Latte. she wants a “Latte” for herself.  She thinks he has a wonderful temperament. We’re including a couple of recent photos of Latte for you.  Unfortunately, you can’t see his gorgeous, honey-colored eyes in these photos. We really could not be happier with our boy-dog.  Thank you.

Hi Amy,

We just wanted to thank you for the wonderful job you did with Teddy! He is truly a special puppy. He is so much fun to play and cuddle with and we can't get over how intelligent he is-A few days after we had him he had already learned how to sit!  We also get tons of compliments about how adorable and sweet he is (especially from the nurses at the vet)! Attached are some pictures for you.

Hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanks again for everything!

Hi Amy!

We just wanted to send you an update and some pictures of Teddy. Can't believe that he is already 6 months old and 39 pounds! We are in the middle of obedience training and Teddy is a superstar. He catches on to new commands very quickly and loves going for walks on a leash. His intelligence and clever nature amazes us daily. Thank you for such a sweet, gentle and fun dog! He has become an irreplaceable member of our family. It has been a joy to watch him grow.

We hope all is well. The new litter looks adorable! It makes us want another one...perhaps after our wedding :-).

Take care,
Amanda G. and Matt W.

Hi Amy, just sending a few photos of Sterling from
this morning.  12 weeks now, can you believe how big.
He is about 12 pounds, I will know exactly when he
goes in for 3rd shots on Tuesday.

He is so great, and so smart, everyone just loves him.

Thanks again.

Hi Amy

Sorry it has been a while.

Sterling is wonderful.  He just had his first hair cut
about 2 weeks ago, his hair was so long, I am not sure
he could see.  He looks so cute.  He is getting big
and staying really active.  We walk and play ball a
lot.  And every time the kids come home from school, I
swear it was like he just won the lottery.  Since my
four year old is about his size, every time he sees
her he jumps up and puts his paws on her shoulder and
hugs her, it is the cutest thing ever, I will get a
picture and send it to you.  He thinks he is just one
of the kids and it is so great.  Thank you again for
our little blessing.

I will send photos soon.

 Hi Amy:

Our Doodle thinks he's human, he's great.  He weighs about 45lbs and seems to have stopped growing so rapidly ???!  At what age do they stop.  He had his first haircut about 6 weeks ago, so I have attached a pic of before and after.  he is very well natured and great with the kids, he loves people and is very sociable,

Hope all is well with the baby.  Do you have a new litter?

Gabby

Hi Amy

Sadie is doing very well.  She came home and immediately adopted our old Golden, Timber, as her new mommy and then last year in July we added a new baby brother,(a little chocolate lab) Woody, to the mix.  Sadie and Woody are best friends and it's given Timber a break from Sadie wanting all of her attention.  Just like kids!!  Woody is not so little anymore, he slightly taller than Sadie and a bit huskier, so we have three BIG dogs living in our house, as the boys move out and onto college.

Hope all is well with you.

Hi Amy,
Here are some recent photos of our beloved Roxy.
At 9 1/2 months she weighs a little over 40 pounds (she's mostly
hair). :)
We couldn't be happier with her.  She's just an all-around great
family dog...great disposition (sweet, smart, and calm)
but still playful (loves fetch and being chased by the kids).

We take her almost everywhere with us and she garners attention
wherever we go.
We took her to an art festival with us last weekend and we stopped
counting the number of people who stopped us to ask us about her.
We lost count after 60!  Several days later her picture turned up in
a local newspaper.

I'm looking into having her become a Pet Encounter Therapy dog once
she reaches her 1st birthday.
(She loves all of the attention and gracious to all the folks she
meets on the street).
I'll let you know how that goes.

Thanks again!
Lisa and Trevor

Hi Amy!

Stevie is putting together a puppy/scrap book for Apolo and in looking at our pictures, I thought I would send you a few.  My how our baby has grown!!  The first one is right after we brought him home and the last two are just about a week old.  You can see, he still loves to just relax.  He's eager to play if you initiate the activity but if left to himself, he finds a cool spot on the tile in the kitchen or in front of the TV under the ceiling fan in the family room.

I still can't thank you enough for Apolo.  He is a wonderful addition to our family.  He's very affectionate and very smart.  He was housebroken in less than three weeks and he walks on his leash but is easily distracted... he loves kids and other animals.  He likes to play fetch... for about 5 minutes and then he's done.  He thinks Stevie is his brother and tried to boss him around for a while but now he is eager to listen to him.    Everyone compliments his beauty which Stevie finds hilarious!  Our vet and his nurses love him... even when he burps while on the examination table.  I also have to tell you that our vet complimented you as well... Apolo is healthy and in looking at his book, our vet was impressed with the care Apolo received while with you.

I am far more familiar with Labradoodles than I ever thought I would be and there is no question that we picked the right breeder.  We tried to do all the research and even though we talked to a lot of breeders, we still didn't know very much.  We just based our decision on instinct... we had such a good feeling about you.  You kept in contact and went the extra mile for us.  Like I've said before, we just can't thank you enough.  We will always recommend you and I know Stevie wants a playmate for Apolo now but when we're ready, we will defintely give you a call.

Hi Amy-

We are having the best summer ever, I hope you are too.  As soon as school got out I took my kids and Riley for a camping trip in our motor home.  Riley was a little bit nervous the very first couple of days and then he just totally relaxed and got the hang of it ……..in fact, he learned how fun it was to camp!

Today he had his very first haircut because we could no longer see him under all the fur………..he did great and looks quite handsome too.I thought I’d send the latest pictures, he continues to do wonderfully for us.  He’s doing much better at coming now, and has also learned sit, down, and stay.  He’s completely housebroken near as we can tell; he’s even learning to hang out by the door when he wants to go out.  So far we’ve been able to keep plenty of chew toys in front of him so we are doing good with that too.  We watch him closely outside though…………he LOVES dirt and wants to dig if we don’t keep an eye on him. He’s going to get neutered on July 16th and he only has one shot left to get (his rabies vaccine).  As you can see by the photo’s, he’s growing nicely and he just LOVES my kids.  He’s very respectful of my husband and I, but those kids he just adores and can’t seem to get enough of them.  They are good for each other though………they wear each other out and then take great naps together!Enjoy the pictures…………….we continue to love our puppy and just wanted to stay in touch ……..

Sincerely,

Sue Chrismer

F1b litter mates

Mollie is absolutely the best dog.  She's so sweet and funny to be around that it's hard to get angry with her on the few occasions she's done something really naughty.  When she looks at you with that cute little face you just have to laugh.  Everyone she meets just loves her and she really enjoys going for a bike ride.  She's a great addition to our family.

Amy,

Here are a couple of photos of Roxy (left in tug-o-war, right in resting pose) and Phoebe at our house when Frank and Vicky were visiting for a Barbeque and doodle romp yesterday.

I think the photos are great because... well they're of our dogs... but also because they show some of the differences between the two litter mates quite nicely. The girls are air dried after doing a swimming lesson in our pool so their hair is naturally curly and hasn't been brushed out which makes Roxy quite fluffy and, in my opinion, silly looking.

Roxy's hair is obviously quite a bit more curly and she is often mistaken for a standard poodle in public until people touch her. Her hair is very soft, not wirey like Lisa's sisters' standards. Phoebe's hair is much straighter and thinner but still wavey as you can see. She dried (outside in the typical 90 temperatures for the coast yesterday) in about half the time as Roxy even though they spent the better part of the day romping and playing.

In the lower photo they've finally started to slow down (we have AC so the did get chance to cool off) and could be setup in a pose (impossible earlier... they just won't stop playing) with a little coaxing with doggie treats. You can see that Phoebe is still bigger than her sister. The last time we weighed both of them three weeks ago Roxy was 42 lbs and Pheobe was 57 lbs. That's keeping the approximately 15% difference in weight they've been at every time we've weighed them at the same time. Phoebe is clearly more lab-like; in her build with a much thicker and solid frame and Roxy is more poodle-like being slender and long looking.

I'm not sure about Phoebe but Roxy is a rabid fetcher both inside and out (although outside she gets less practice because she is easily distracted by birds, people, etc and we haven't quite gotten her completely solid on recall). She is a great wiffle ball shanker fetching the balls and returning them when I pitch to Sam and he hits it 30 or 40 yards. She just flies to get the ball!

The two girls are both incredibly smart and gentle with small children. Roxy plays fetch with our neighbor's 18 month old daughter, Joanie, and gently returns the ball to her, sits patiently while she winds up for the throw and repeatedly comes back to take it right on the nose! The ball that is... Joanies aim, while good for 18 months old, isn't great and Roxy gets nailed in the noggin' about 90% of the time. Still that doesn't phase her and she always comes back for more. Joanie can even get Roxy to sit on command. Yes... she CAN say Roxy, sit! and Roxy listens!

In any case, I hope you like the photos and hearing about how great the dogs you helped bring into our worlds are. We really love our little Diggity  and can't imagine our lives without her.

Thanks again,

Trevor, Lisa, Emily and Sam

Sorry we haven't given you an update on Cooper.  He's almost a year old
and
has been a GREAT addition to our family.  Cooper's a very smart dog and
you
did a great job socializing him to people.  He gets a ton of attention
from
the kids and friends and is very patient.  As you can see, one of his
favorite past times is chasing sea gulls.  We couldn't be happier with
his
personality and is a great looking dog.  Thanks for everything.

Adopted by Luanne S. in San Diego, Ca.

Amy,
I haven't written in a while and I am awfully inept at
sending pictures by email. But I had to let you know
that Shamrock is doing wonderfully and we just love
him! He'll be 1 year old on March 12th...he's about
25 tall at his shoulders and weighs about 44 pounds.
He is apricot and his fur is curly/wavy yet very soft.
I bring him to work everyday...being the
secretary/nurse/registrar at an elementary school, he
is never lacking for love and hugs. He makes the kids'
owies not hurt so bad and thinks that everyone that
comes in the office is here just to play with him! He
loves playing fetch which we do daily in our backyard
and he LOVES playing with other dogs.

He gets together with Roxy (Lisa and Trevor Cooper)
every once in a while and they both love it. I
understand their mom needs to retire but boy she sure
had great puppies!

I'm excited that you have other sizes now...we may be
looking again in a year or so and another size might
be interesting to consider.

Just wanted to touch base with you...hope all is well
with the boys...

Take care,
Luanne Sobieski

Hi, Amy,

Just wanted to update you on our darling little four month old puppy girl!  Molly is doing great in San Diego . . . she has become a Charger fan as the photo will attest to!  She loves everyone . . . people, children, other dogs, cats.  When we're out walking her, people have actually stopped their cars to ask about her.  I've lost count of the times I've heard she's the cutest dog I've ever seen.  She is also extremely smart.  By the time she was three months old she was trained on command to sit, fetch, stay (even staying when her food bowl was put down, until we said ok), come, and rolling over on her back when hearing bang, bang . We can even tell her to get a certain toy and she brings back the correct one.  She is just amazing!

She was spayed last week and the doctor re-examined that eye.  The scratch is gone . . . it must have been caused by a litter mate's nails.  In any event, she is very healthy, weighing in at 30 pounds.  I'm so happy I was able to change my husband's mind and go for the little apricot female . . . he is too !

Happy New Year and all the best to you, Amy.

By the way, I hear a co-worker of mine (Linda S.) is signing up for one of your puppies in the Spring!

Linda E.

Hi, Amy,

Here are some cute pictures of Molly on her first Kayak Adventure.  She loved it and is definitely a water dog!  The photos are large so I'll have to send them in separate e-mails.

By the way, what did you put on Molly's coat when we initially picked her up?  I remember her smelling really good.  It is something I can get at dog.com or PetSmart or PetCo?

Linda

Hi Amy,

This  is jamie here...we adopted a puppy from you in November and wanted to give you an update. Lando is going to be six months old this week and about 42 pounds already! Since the moment we brought lando into our home he has brought us immense joy! He is very intelligent, gregarious, and caring. He was completely crate trained and house broken within about 3 weeks and we like to think he was top of his puppy school class which he just completed! In the house where our apartment is there are 2 other dogs so those are his best friends and he enjoys playing in the fenced in dog area. However, his favorite spot is a dog park next to the ocean where there are acres of open land and about a hundred dogs on the weekend! Thank you so much for doing such a wonderful job with him in his early weeks. We had the most socialized dog in puppy school and he continues to be more loving with each passing day! Also, although we have no children, our friends have a young baby and Lando was AMAZING with the baby. Upon first interaction he was very gentle and kept liking the baby's hand (pic included below)! We are already planning to get Lando a brother in a couple of years! Here are a few pics of Lando.

Take gentle care and thank you,
Jamie & Lando

Hi Amy,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop!

Clark is doing great, he'll be 10 months old this Friday!  I have attached some pictures.

We can't thank you enough for him - he really has exceeded our expectations.  He is so mildly mannered yet playful, gentle and SMART.  He gets to go to work frequently with Susan (and behaves himself beautifully), he loves to fetch and most of all loves to snuggle.  He has graduated two levels of obedience training and we're planning on putting him through the advanced classes starting in a month or two.  He hikes off leash with me a few times a week and is really just our best buddy.

We're not quite ready for another family member at this time, but will definitely be in touch with you if/when that time arrives.

Thanks again for keeping in touch,

Matthew L

Hello Amy,

I have been meaning to email you and I will try and get some photos to you.

Roxy is an amazing dog!  Everyone loves her and she loves absolutely everyone, dogs, all shapes and sizes of people, men in hats, woman, kids, babies, toys!  I got her in a puppy class at 11 weeks and got her out in the neighborhood just as soon as it was safe to do so. I am so glad I did this as she is so easy going now. The first few months were wild but of course, I had a little wild animal living with me. She was house trained by 10 weeks, actually had only 3 little accidents in the house by 10 weeks, how great is that?  She is not afraid of anything; cars, buses, airplanes, street sweepers, trash trucks, bikes, skateboards or anything else for that matter. I take her to work a couple times a week, everyone loves her there and she goes to a doggie play center one day a week and the other days she stays home and hangs out in the back yard and barely barks unless something truly threatening is around, like coyotes or snakes. I walk her 45 minutes each morning (at least 5 -6 days sometimes 7) She is beautiful and smart and people still stop their cars and ask “What is that? She looks like a big stuffed animal” As my granddaughter Amanda says “Roxy is popular” and she is. Everyone at the doggie play center is crazy about her and I have given out your website to a number of people. She is going to be a big girl though, she is almost 8 months and she is 42 lbs and I don’t know how big she will get. I hope she tops out at around 55 but however big she is will be fine since she is such a love.

Thanks for such a wonderful dog

Blessings,

Maureen

Jack is doing great! He's about 65 lbs and will be 1 July 16th. He went to two sessions of training and is so well behaved. He's recently learned the joy of chasing a frisbee and catching it mid-air. We just moved and he loves having a bigger yard and house. He is out of a crate now and sleeps in our room.

Attached are then and now pictures of Jack... A shoulder ride isn't what it use to be!
